Disgraced Anti-trump Lawyer Avenatti Gets 4 Years in Prison

It’s probably been a while since you’ve heard the name, Michael Avenatti. He was the sleazy lawyer who represented porn actress Stormy Daniels in her vendetta against Donald Trump. Avenatti exploited all the attention a Trump-hating media threw at him. At one point the geniuses over at CNN even speculated this ambulance chaser would run for president.

But things took a bad turn for Avenatti. He was slammed with numerous criminal suits against him, from former clients and major corporations. The man actually tried to extort Nike, which brought some serious consequences. He was also convicted of stealing from his former client, Daniels after he stole money from her.

Now, he is about to face the music.

Lawyer Michael Avenatti was sentenced to four years in prison on Thursday for stealing from adult film actress Stormy Daniels.

Avenatti, who represented Daniels in a legal battle against former President Donald Trump, was convicted of taking nearly $300,000 owed to her from her 2018 autobiography “Full Disclosure.” […]

The sentencing is scheduled to run concurrently with Avenatti’s sentencing in a separate Nike case that will include two and a half years to be served after his first sentence is complete. [Source: Daily Wire]

So, let me do the math. Disgraced lawyer and con man Avenatti will serve six and a half years in prison for his attempts to cheat, swindle, and rob his clients.

This was a man who, only a few short years ago, was a hero within the liberal media. He claimed he had evidence that would take down President Trump. Democrats rallied around this man for a time, thinking he would finally be their Ace-in-the-Hole against 45.

Didn’t work out that way, huh?

After Daniel lost her suit against Trump (and was forced to pay him for legal fees), she claimed she never wanted to sue the president. But Avenatti, she claimed, went ahead and did it himself. It appears he was just too eager to chase the limelight, despite not having anything to back his claims.

At one point, he even represented a woman who claimed to be “gang raped” by then-Supreme Court nominee Brett Kavanaugh. The claims were so wild and unsubstantiated, that they undermined the left’s attempts at destroying the Trump nominee, who ended up on the court.

Once his star fell, it seems the establishment turned on old Avenatti. During his sentencing, he acted sorry for himself, lamenting that he “will forever be branded ‘disgraced lawyer’ and worse.”

Hey, Mike, you did that to yourself!

It’s pretty rare we get to see justice served, these days. But if this episode teaches us one thing, it’s that those who cross Trump unethically, soon regret it.
