The American people are tired of the political games in Washington, and now it’s happening right inside the Republican Party. South Carolina Congresswoman Nancy Mace is trying to censure a fellow Republican, Cory Mills from Florida. She’s not just calling him out—she wants him removed from his committee seats and punished publicly. This is the kind of infighting that weakens our party and distracts from the real work: defending freedom, stopping the left, and putting America first.
Mace is pushing this resolution after a failed attempt to censure Democrat Stacey Plaskett. Plaskett, let’s not forget, worked with Jeffrey Epstein, the convicted sex offender, during a 2019 hearing. That alone should be enough to remove her from every committee. Yet she still holds powerful seats on the Intelligence, Budget, and Ways and Means Committees. That’s not just wrong—it’s dangerous. We’re talking about a person connected to one of the most corrupt figures in modern history, and she still has access to sensitive information. Where’s the accountability?
But instead of focusing on cleaning up Democrat corruption, Mace is turning her fire on one of our own. Cory Mills is a combat veteran and a strong conservative voice. The charges she’s trying to throw at him—like “stolen valor”—have already been denied by Mills. And if there are real concerns, they should be investigated properly, not used as political weapons in a public fight. This isn’t justice; it’s a personal vendetta.
It gets worse. Reports say that Republican leadership may have made a backroom deal. The idea is that they let the Plaskett censure fail in exchange for protecting Mills from being censured by Mace. If that’s true, it’s shameful. The American people didn’t send Republicans to Washington to play games in the shadows. We sent them to fight for our values, stand up to the left, and restore honesty to government.
This kind of backroom dealing is exactly what President Trump fought against every day during his first term—and is fighting again now. Washington is full of career politicians who care more about their image and power than about the people they serve. And when Republicans act like Democrats—cutting deals, protecting the wrong people, and attacking their own—it sends the wrong message to the base.
Let’s be clear: the real enemy is the radical left. The same left that wants to censor your speech, take your guns, flood our borders, and destroy the Constitution. That’s who we should be focused on. Instead, we’re watching a public feud between two Republicans that only helps the Democrats. It’s embarrassing, and it’s wrong.
Mace is also clearly still angry that Mills didn’t support her earlier attempt to censure Ilhan Omar. But Mills had a reason. He said Omar should be investigated, not just censured. Whether you agree with that or not, it’s not a reason to start a political war within the party.
Now, other Republicans like Rep. Anna Paulina Luna are jumping in, saying Mills shouldn’t run for re-election. This isn’t helping anyone. If someone in our party has done something wrong, let it be investigated properly. But don’t drag the party into the mud with public attacks and political theater.
The Republican Party should be united in one goal: saving America. That means protecting our Constitution, defending our borders, restoring law and order, and putting American workers and families first. The left is tearing this country apart. We don’t have time for petty fights and personal grudges.
We need bold leaders who fight for liberty, not for headlines. We need unity, not division. And we need every single Republican in Congress focused on what matters most: the American people.
