GOP Gov. Sends Illegal Immigrants to Another Democrat Ghetto

Many believed Gov. Greg Abbott’s plan to bus illegal border crossers to Democrat-run sanctuary cities was nothing but an empty political stunt. Skeptics assumed Abbott’s bussing plan wouldn’t amount to much or have any tangible benefits.

They were dead wrong.

Besides getting illegal immigrants out of his state, Abbott’s plan to send illegals to America’s largest sanctuary cities exposed a massive level of hypocrisy pervasive in the Democrat Party.

Mayors of Washington D.C. and New York City were in dismay to find busloads of illegal immigrants from third-world countries flooding their cities and draining their resources. Homeless shelters were invaded by illegal border crossers and city leaders were quick to beg the Biden Regime for help.

Americans quickly learned that open borders progressives are only pro-immigration because they don’t live near a border, nor are their cities plagued with the crime and lawlessness that comes with increased illegal immigration.

Greg Abbott exposed all of that.

The Governor of Texas has decided to expand his bussing program after achieving initial success in NYC and D.C. He has now sent busses filled with migrants to a third sanctuary city, Chicago.

In protest of what they say is a lack of attention to the border crisis, Texas and Arizona have been sending buses full of migrants to Washington, D.C., and New York City, two prominent Democratic-run cities. On Wednesday, Abbott announced the arrival of the first bus to Chicago. Videos show the migrants arriving in the city in two buses.

Other videos show the migrants boarding another bus, which he said he was told was taking them to a shelter.

A Fox News correspondent estimated that there were 80-100 migrants total on the two buses, including around 20 children.

“Mayor Lightfoot loves to tout the responsibility of her city to welcome all regardless of legal status, and I look forward to seeing this responsibility in action as these migrants receive resources from a sanctuary city w/ capacity to serve them,” Abbott said in his statement, referring to Chicago’s mayor, Lori Lightfoot.

Lightfoot responded by decrying Abbott’s practice as “racist” and saying he is “without shame or humanity.”

Racist? LOL OK.

Abbott has enacted a policy of busing migrants to Democratic-run cities in an effort to highlight the border situation and lessen the burden on border cities and towns. Many of the migrants stopped at the border in the first half of this year have been released on humanitarian parole or with notices to appear in immigration court.

Meanwhile, the federal government has refused to get involved. The U.S.-Mexico border remains open and illegal migrants are pouring in at a rate this country has yet to experience.
