If Biden is mentally fit to lead the country then why won’t he consent to a cognitive test to finally silence GOP skeptics who believe he’s in failing mental form?
Almost 40 Republican lawmakers have renewed a previous request that Joe Biden take a cognitive test to determine the state of his mental awareness.

Retired Navy doctor and Texas Rep. Ronny Jackson, along with 37 members of his party, sent a letter to Biden this week urging him to take a mental health test over concerns about his “current cognitive state,” Fox News reported

“My colleagues and I are again asking President Biden to immediately undergo a formal cognitive screening exam, such as the Montreal Cognitive Assessment (MOCA),” Jackson told the outlet in an email.
“As a former physician to three Presidents of the United States, I know what it takes mentally and physically to execute the duties of Commander-in-Chief and Head of State,” he continued.
“Joe Biden has continually proven to me and to the world that something isn’t right. The American people deserve to have absolute confidence in their President’s cognitive ability.”
Jackson said that by refusing to take a cognitive test, people “can only assume the worst” regarding Biden’s mental state.
Reps. Elise Stefanik, Jim Banks, Andy Harris, Andy Biggs, Bob Gibbs, Claudia Tenney, Lauren Boebert, and Madison Cawthorn were among the other Republicans who signed the letter.
Jackson previously sent a letter to Biden, his physician, Kevin O’Connor, and Dr. Anthony Fauci last year requesting he “immediately undergo a cognitive test and share the results with the American people,” according to the press release.
“This is not a partisan issue,” Jackson said.
“When I discussed taking a cognitive test with President Trump, he was eager to assure the American people and to put the fake news media’s stories to bed. Why won’t President Biden do the same?”
Around 42% of U.S. adults said they believed Biden was “mentally sharp,” while roughly 51% of respondents strongly or somewhat disagreed in a poll released by Issues and Insights in November. A recent poll from RealClearPolitics shows Biden has an average approval rating of 40.7% and a disapproval rating of 53%.
