New York Magazine just got busted for some next-level media manipulation, and this one’s a doozy. The leftist rag ran a cover story this week about a pro-Trump inauguration party, claiming the crowd was “almost entirely white.” Just one problem—they cropped out the black attendees to push that lie.
The article, titled “The Cruel Kids’ Table” by Brock Colyar, attempted to paint Trump’s young conservative supporters as a homogenous sea of white privilege. But reality (and the full, unedited photo) tell a different story. The event, hosted by black conservative CJ Pearson, was attended by a diverse mix of conservatives—including former Georgia state Rep. Vernon Jones, rapper Waka Flocka Flame, and PragerU’s Xaviaer DuRousseau.
Exposing the Lie
Conservative commentator Christopher Barnard exposed the deception when he posted the full, uncropped photo from the Power 30 Awards party, revealing numerous black attendees.
CJ Pearson, the event’s host, didn’t hold back. “This is insane,” he wrote. “I hosted this event and @NYMag intentionally left me out of their story because it would have undermined their narrative that MAGA is some racist cult.”
Pearson went on to post a picture of himself with other black attendees, mocking the magazine’s ridiculous claim: “I guess none of these black people got the memo?”
Political commentator Rob Smith also slammed the magazine, saying, “I was at this party as were MANY other Conservative media influencers who are Black, Latino, Asian, etc.” He added, “@NYMag used a whites-only photo to push the media narrative that diverse Republicans don’t exist and weren’t welcome. You don’t hate the media enough.”
The Media’s Race Obsession
Despite overwhelming evidence debunking their claim, New York Magazine stuck to its weak excuse. A spokesperson insisted the cropped image “provides an accurate impression of the weekend.” Right—just like CNN’s “fiery but mostly peaceful protests” coverage.
This is what the leftist media does: when reality doesn’t fit their narrative, they edit reality. If they have to erase black conservatives to sell their tired “MAGA is racist” smear, they’ll do it without blinking. But thanks to social media, they got caught red-handed.
At the end of the day, this isn’t just about one dishonest cover. It’s about how the mainstream media treats truth as optional when it gets in the way of their political agenda. But Americans are waking up to the lies. And this latest stunt just proves—once again—why trust in the media is at an all-time low.
