Pro-Lifers Persecuted – Ten Years In Prison For THIS?

Pro-Lifers Persecuted – Ten Years In Prison For THIS?
Six pro-life protesters could face long prison sentences for peacefully demonstrating inside a Texas abortion facility.

This starkly contrasts with the relatively lenient treatment of those involved in the violent riots following George Floyd’s death. This disparity in legal consequences highlights a troubling trend in the American justice system, where the enforcement of laws and the severity of punishment seem to be influenced by political ideology rather than the nature of the crime itself.

In the aftermath of George Floyd’s death, numerous cities across America witnessed widespread destruction and violence. Despite the clear evidence of criminal behavior, including arson, assault, and even fatalities, many of those charged received relatively light sentences, with the average being just 27 months in prison. This leniency was often justified under the guise of “peaceful protests” by mainstream media, despite the blatant violence and destruction.

In stark contrast, the recent conviction of six pro-life activists for their non-violent demonstration in a Texas abortion facility under the Freedom of Access to Clinic Entrances Act (FACE) has raised eyebrows. The act, which was established to protect both abortion facilities and places of worship from obstruction and violence, has been applied in this case to a group of individuals whose actions were far from violent or destructive. These activists now face up to 10.5 years in prison for simply sitting, praying, and singing hymns in a clinic.

This glaring disparity in how justice is dispensed based on the political nature of the protest is alarming. The pro-life activists, whose demonstration was non-violent and rooted in deeply held religious beliefs, are being treated with a harshness that was not applied to those who actively participated in violent riots. This raises serious questions about the fairness and impartiality of the American justice system.

The use of the FACE act in this context seems to be an overreach, aimed more at silencing a particular political and moral viewpoint rather than protecting the rights and safety of individuals. The fact that these protesters are being charged with a civil rights conspiracy adds to the concern that the law is being used as a tool to suppress opposition rather than uphold justice.

The harsh treatment of these peaceful pro-life protesters compared to the leniency shown towards violent rioters is a disturbing indication of a politically motivated justice system. It suggests a move away from impartial enforcement of the law towards a system that penalizes individuals based on their political and religious beliefs. This not only undermines the principles of fairness and equality before the law but also poses a threat to the fundamental rights of free speech and peaceful assembly.
