Last year, Nancy Pelosi claimed that Joe Biden did not have the power to cancel all or part of student loans. She explained that only Congress had the power to do that. I guess something has changed in the last year because the Speaker has been all but silent after Joe announced his plan to cancel student loans–which could cost Americans $1 trillion.

Plenty of legal experts have demanded answers from the White House. How can Joe just “forgive” student loans, when we are in the middle of an inflation-induced recession? Does the administration even have the power to wipe out these loans–shifting the burden to hard-working taxpayers?

But it seems Republicans, finally, are standing up to this socialist administration.

An influential conservative congressman says it is time for lawmakers to sue President Joe Biden to block the cancellation of hundreds of billions of dollars of student loan debt, challenging the plan on the grounds that it usurps the power of Congress to make laws.

[Rep. Ralph Norman] said lawmakers home for summer recess are hearing lots of anger about the plan and suggested the conservative and growing Freedom Caucus in the House could take the lead in litigation…

The small business lobby Job Creators Network, which successfully challenged Biden’s vaccine mandates for private businesses last year, is among those considering litigation to challenge the debt cancellation…

“We know it’s going to … lead to higher deficits. We know it’s going to lead to higher taxes, because somebody’s got to actually pay the bill. And it’s going to be inflationary.” [Source: Just the News]

It’s actually shocking that Republicans didn’t immediately vow to sue Joe Biden the moment he announced this idiotic plan. Biden is selling out America’s future, to give college students a $10,000 break.

Democrats won’t lift a finger to do anything about this. Most liberal voters have stuck their heads in the sand and are oblivious to the damage this will do to our country. And Democrat politicians foolishly think this will save them in the midterms.

It’s up to Republicans and business organizations to fight back. Biden will do any to get his way, the law and Constitution be damned. Remember, this is the same imbecile who threatened to take away 100 million American jobs, over a COVID vaccine. The man who defied Congress again and again to push a radical agenda.

He ignored the Supreme Court over immigration and abortion. He tried to steal our elections with two (failed) bills. He is pushing reckless spending that will make inflation worse.

It doesn’t matter to him. He’s a senile, 79-year-old man. He won’t be around to face the consequences of these actions. But many of us will be.

If Republicans hand any brains, they’d take this all the way to the Supreme Court.
