Social Media Giant Lays Groundwork For Midterm Election Meddling

It was only a matter of time before Big Tech companies began unveiling their plan to tackle “misinformation” surrounding the upcoming midterm elections in November.

Pollsters have largely determined the midterm elections to be massively beneficial for Republicans especially as the entire country continues to crumble as a result of the Democrats’ disastrous policies.

Many conservatives fear the tactics Democrats plan to take in an effort to mitigate their losses come November. Some even wonder if Democrats will attempt to rig the elections as they did in 2020.

However, there will be one striking similarity between the 2022 midterm elections and the 2020 presidential election. Big Tech is doing everything they can to interfere.

Far-left Twitter announced that it will “protect” the midterm elections using a wide array of censorship policies designed to suppress what the company considers “misinformation.”

Big Tech companies like Twitter, Facebook, and Google adopted “election integrity” policies after many users began questioning the validity of the 2020 presidential election. Censorship tactics were utilized by Big Tech wokies — even Trump’s tweets were slapped with a “misinformation” label.

Twitter and other companies have made it a recent habit to police what they consider “misinformation,” when in all reality they’re merely doing the Demcorats’ public relations work.

For example, Twitter, Facebook, Google, et al worked tirelessly to bury the Hunter Biden “Laptop From Hell” story while Joe Biden was on the campaign trail. The bombshell was labeled Russian “misinformation” by news outlets and was largely considered a bogus story.

The contents of Hunter’s laptop were later to be authenticated and mainstream media outlets were forced to eat crow.

Twitter also says they will roll out “state-specific event hubs,” which will allow the platform to feed handpicked information to users based on their state and local races. It will also roll out a “dedicated explore tab” for the U.S. elections containing news stories curated by Twitter.

You can read Twitter’s midterm guidelines here.

The emphasis throughout Twitter’s announcement is on the curation and filtering of information from the company down to users, as opposed to the old norm, which was users discovering information that was popular with other users, through trending hashtags and other mechanisms to surface popular content organically.

Today, Twitter wants users to receive information from the top down, not the bottom up.
