The niece of the world’s most famous dead terrorist was living in a luxury apartment in Los Angeles, posting designer handbag photos on Instagram, and calling America the “Great Satan” on social media — all while holding a green card your tax dollars processed.
Somebody get ICE a trophy. This one’s a masterpiece.
Hamideh Soleimani Afshar is the niece of Qasem Soleimani, the IRGC Major General who spent decades orchestrating attacks that killed hundreds of American soldiers before a Reaper drone turned him into a headline in January 2020. She entered the United States in June 2015 on a tourist visa. Then she claimed asylum in 2019 — asylum, as in “I’m fleeing persecution and my life is in danger.”
Here’s where it gets good. After claiming her life was in danger in Iran, Afshar took four trips back to Iran. Four. She filed for naturalization in July 2025 and actually disclosed those trips herself. Apparently nobody in the Biden administration thought it was worth asking why a woman who claimed she’d be killed if she returned to Iran kept returning to Iran.
She received her green card in 2021, right on schedule during the Biden years when the vetting process apparently consisted of checking whether you had a pulse and a sob story.
Secretary of State Marco Rubio personally revoked her legal status, saying Afshar “celebrated attacks on Americans and referred to our country as the ‘Great Satan’” while living large in Los Angeles. She wasn’t just quietly existing in America. She was actively promoting IRGC propaganda on social media — the same Revolutionary Guard Corps that has American blood on its hands from Iraq to Syria to Lebanon.
Her daughter, Sarinasadat Hosseiny, was also taken into custody. Afshar’s husband has been officially barred from entering the country.
DHS made the point that needed making: holding a green card is “a privilege,” and the administration will revoke that privilege for anyone who poses a threat to national security. That’s not a controversial statement. That’s common sense that somehow went missing for four years.
This is what winning looks like. An actual terrorist sympathizer — not someone who posted a mean tweet, not someone who wore the wrong hat, but a woman who actively promoted attacks on Americans while enjoying the freedoms those Americans died protecting — is sitting in ICE custody instead of sipping lattes in Beverly Hills.
The asylum system was designed to protect people genuinely fleeing for their lives. It was not designed to give designer lifestyles to the relatives of terrorist commanders who fly back to the country they supposedly fled whenever they feel like shopping in Tehran. When you claim asylum from a regime and then vacation there four times, you didn’t flee persecution. You committed fraud.
Afshar’s Instagram was reportedly full of the kind of luxury content that would make a Kardashian jealous. Designer bags. High-end restaurants. The Los Angeles lifestyle at its most extravagant. All while sharing posts celebrating the regime that calls for America’s destruction.
She had the “Great Satan’s” green card in her Gucci purse. Now she has an ICE detainer in her file. That’s the scoreboard update we needed.
