Therapist Faces Backlash for Exposing Anti-Trump Hysteria

When a New York City therapist dares to speak the truth about the unhinged reactions some Americans have toward President Donald Trump, he doesn’t get applause—he gets death threats. That’s the state of the radical left in 2025. Say anything that challenges their narrative, and they’ll try to destroy you. Just ask Jonathan Alpert.

Alpert, a psychotherapist based in Manhattan, recently shared something that many of us have known for years: “Trump Derangement Syndrome” is real. He wrote about it in The Wall Street Journal, appeared on Fox News, and calmly explained how many of his patients—three out of four, in fact—are so obsessed with hating President Trump that it’s affecting their mental health. They can’t sleep. They’re anxious. They’re exhausted. And they’re blaming one man for all of it.

But instead of thanking him for shedding light on this issue, the angry mob came after him. He received a flood of hateful messages—vile, disgusting stuff that no one should have to read. People called him a “racist fascist,” a “pedophile protector,” and worse. All because he told the truth.

Let’s be clear: this isn’t just about politics. This is about reality versus delusion. The radical left has spent years convincing themselves that President Trump is the root of all evil. They’ve created a fantasy world where every problem in their life is his fault. The economy? Trump. Climate change? Trump. Your cat won’t eat? Must be Trump again. It’s madness—and Jonathan Alpert simply called it what it is.

Trump Derangement Syndrome isn’t just a joke or a meme. It’s an emotional breakdown. It’s when someone becomes so consumed with hatred and fear that they lose touch with reason. Alpert described it perfectly. He said it’s not about ideology—it’s about an emotional pattern. When your political opinions start making you sick, when they interfere with your job, your relationships, or your sleep, you’ve crossed a line. That’s not healthy. That’s not normal.

And yet, instead of listening, the left wants to silence him. Why? Because they can’t handle the truth. They’ve built their entire identity around opposing Trump. He’s their boogeyman. So when someone holds up a mirror and says, “Hey, this isn’t healthy,” they lash out like children. They don’t want to be helped. They want to be angry.

What Alpert is doing takes courage. In a liberal stronghold like New York City, where the media, academia, and the professional class are all deep blue, telling the truth about Trump—and about the emotional instability of his critics—is like walking into a lion’s den. But he did it anyway, because he believes in emotional health, not political correctness. And for that, he deserves our respect.

He also makes a powerful point: we need to learn how to separate our emotions from facts. We need to tolerate discomfort. That’s part of being an adult. You don’t get to throw tantrums because your side lost an election. You don’t get to threaten people because they support a different president. That’s not democracy. That’s mob rule.

Now, of course, the left is trying to spin this. Some therapists are saying we shouldn’t pathologize political emotions. Fine. But when those emotions turn into threats, violence, or mental breakdowns, we have a serious problem. And pretending it’s normal only makes it worse.

President Trump is back in the White House, restoring order, putting America First, and cleaning up the mess left behind by the failed Biden regime. That’s a good thing. But for those still stuck in their anti-Trump hysteria, maybe it’s time to take a deep breath, turn off MSNBC, and talk to someone like Jonathan Alpert.

Because the real danger to our country isn’t the man in the Oval Office. It’s the people who lose their minds over him.
