President-elect Donald Trump’s picks for his upcoming administration have everyone talking—including some of the last people you’d expect. In a twist of bipartisan admiration, even a handful of Democrats are giving a nod to the new team. That’s right, the very same Democrats who’ve spent years vilifying Trump are now admitting he’s putting together a solid group. And when the approval’s coming from Trump critics, you know these picks must be good.
Rep. Jared Moskowitz (D-FL), a pro-Israel Democrat who’s not exactly shy about clashing with members of his own party and Republicans, has come out in support of several Trump appointees. Moskowitz has showered praise on Trump’s incoming Chief of Staff Susie Wiles, National Security Adviser Mike Waltz, and U.N. Ambassador Elise Stefanik. The fact that a Democrat is applauding Trump’s picks speaks volumes, especially since Moskowitz isn’t one to dole out compliments lightly.
Moskowitz wasn’t the only Democrat to recognize Trump’s team. Even Pennsylvania Senator John Fetterman, who generally keeps his wardrobe and his rhetoric casual, took to his government X account to call Sen. Marco Rubio (R-FL), Trump’s expected pick for Secretary of State, a “strong choice.” And here’s the kicker: he even said he’d vote to confirm Rubio. That’s a level of support we don’t often see from Democrats, but then again, Trump is no ordinary president.
Unsurprisingly, the other team’s pick will have political differences than my own.
That being said, my colleague @SenMarcoRubio is a strong choice and I look forward to voting for his confirmation. pic.twitter.com/OUIDx5KK4J

Virginia Senator Mark Warner added to the chorus of unlikely praise, backing Rubio as a solid choice, even if they don’t always “agree on everything.” Looks like Democrats are realizing that Trump’s choices, whether they admit it or not, are what America needs right now.
But Moskowitz didn’t stop there. He practically gave Susie Wiles a standing ovation, dubbing her the “GOAT” and lauding her as “brilliant, tough, strategic.” Moskowitz had firsthand experience working with Wiles during his time in the Florida Division of Emergency Management. Meanwhile, he’s also heaped praise on Elise Stefanik, saying she’ll bring some much-needed backbone to the United Nations in fighting antisemitism. According to Moskowitz, Stefanik at the U.N. will be the “medicine” the place has desperately needed.
Congrats to @susie57! I worked with Susie in the DeSantis Administration. She is brilliant, tough, strategic. She will serve the country well https://t.co/MfD9TX7AXl

And as for National Security Adviser Mike Waltz? Moskowitz made it clear he respects the service of both Waltz and his wife, Julia Nesheiwat. Now, the praise isn’t universal—environmental groups like the League of Conservation Voters are predictably clutching their pearls. They weren’t fans of Stefanik’s 14% lifetime score on their arbitrary scale, but then again, it’s not like anyone expected the environmental lobby to root for an administration that puts America’s interests first.
Bottom line: even Democrats are starting to see the light. Trump’s picks are exactly the kind of seasoned, no-nonsense leaders who won’t fold under pressure. While the left tries to figure out how to spin their support, Trump is wasting no time assembling a powerhouse team ready to put America first. And that’s why Americans have put their trust in him once again. As usual, Trump is delivering, and even his opponents are admitting it.
