President Donald J. Trump isn’t holding back—and this time, the target is Harvard.
In a blistering statement on Truth Social, Trump tore into the Ivy League institution, calling it an “Anti-Semitic, Far Left Institution” and a “threat to Democracy,” as the battle between the Trump administration and Harvard University over funding, ideology, and constitutional accountability reaches a boiling point.
This isn’t just rhetoric. The Trump administration has already frozen over $2 billion in federal funding to Harvard and is now moving to strip the school of its cherished tax-exempt status. The reason? Harvard’s refusal to dismantle radical diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) programs and its shameful handling of rampant antisemitism on campus.
“Harvard is an Anti-Semitic, Far Left Institution, as are numerous others,” Trump wrote. “Students are being accepted from all over the world that want to rip our country apart. The place is a liberal mess, allowing a certain group of crazed lunatics to enter and exit the classroom and spew fake ANGER AND HATE. It is truly horrific!”
He didn’t stop there. Trump added, “Now, since our filings began, they act like they are all ‘American Apple Pie.’ Harvard is a threat to Democracy.”
Let’s be clear: President Trump isn’t simply making noise. He’s taking action. Under his administration, the Departments of Education and Health and Human Services issued a mandate—either Harvard scraps discriminatory hiring practices and stops favoring race, gender, and political ideology over merit, or it risks losing access to federal contracts and grants. The clock is ticking with an August deadline.
At the heart of this battle is Harvard’s shameful record on antisemitism. In 2023, Harvard became ground zero for anti-Israel protests that engulfed college campuses nationwide. The rot was exposed when then-President Claudine Gay, under oath before Congress, refused to say that calling for genocide against Jews violated Harvard policy. After widespread outrage and a plagiarism scandal, Gay resigned. But the culture she left behind still festers.
And now, the new president, Alan Garber, is doubling down—refusing to comply with Trump’s order to reform Harvard’s toxic policies. Garber arrogantly claimed in a letter that “no government” should tell private universities “what they can teach, whom they can admit and hire.” In other words, he believes Harvard is above accountability—even when it’s funded by American taxpayers.
This week, Harvard filed a lawsuit against the Trump administration, accusing it of running a “pressure campaign” that violates Harvard’s “constitutional rights.” Translation? The school wants your money, but not your oversight. It wants to indoctrinate students with divisive woke ideology, all while hiding behind the First Amendment and elite legal teams.
But Trump is unphased—and rightly so. Harvard accepted billions from the government. Now it must answer to the people.
In a brilliant legal maneuver, Trump’s DOJ is reportedly urging the IRS to revoke Harvard’s tax-exempt status—a move that would hit the university where it hurts most: the endowment. If successful, this would be a historic blow to the institutional left’s most powerful breeding ground.
Trump’s message is clear: no more free passes for elitist institutions that protect bigotry, push anti-American ideologies, and destroy academic integrity. The days of DEI-driven discrimination and coddled radicalism are over.
“Harvard is a threat to democracy,” Trump warned. “This Far Left woke ideology has no place in our country.”
It’s about time someone had the courage to say it.
