What’s Happening At The Southern Border Is Hilarious And Sad

A ranch game camera captured a possible migrant using a stolen single-drum road roller to get away from the border. On Monday, a privately held ranch close to Brackettville, Texas, reported having its construction vehicle stolen. Sheriff Brad Coe of Kinney County claims that the alleged immigrant drove the vehicle over multiple ranches, wrecking significant property, before running out of petrol.

According to Coe, the sluggish car was found around 10 miles from the scene of the theft. Along the escape path, several ranch fences and water well pipelines were broken. The alleged migrant escaped apprehension because the Kinney County Sheriff’s Department was understaffed and the ranch’s isolation.

According to Coe, ranchers are complaining about the present border issue, claiming that every day they have property thefts and break-ins.

According to Coe, the county will launch a program in Jan. to register vehicle identifying numbers and serial numbers on ranches as a way to increase the likelihood that stolen ranch property will be recovered. “We stand a possibility of achieving a quicker recovery if we have the information in our database before the theft occurs,” he continued.

The Kinney County Attorney, Brent Smith, told Breitbart Texas that he frequently receives accusations of similar theft and property damage.

He stressed that “their annoyance is growing, not just with the federal government, but also with the state government.” In 2022, Smith, who represents the county as a prosecutor, has presented well over 4,000 cases. Most involve criminal activity involving migrants.

Sheriff Coe claims that he has problems with migrant traffic in Kinney County that extend beyond vandalism and theft of private property. Another risky result of the rise of neighboring migrant crossings is the increase in high-speed car chases by smugglers. In one such pursuit in December, a smuggler as well as four migrants died.

According to Breitbart Texas, the Border Patrol’s Del Rio Sector, which includes Kinney County, arrested more than 50,000 migrants. Brackettville is 25 miles from the Rio Grande, which is located at the county’s westernmost point.
