Something truly dark is happening in this country. A man—a husband, a father, and a patriot—was murdered in cold blood, and instead of mourning, some Americans are celebrating. That should chill every freedom-loving person to the bone.

Charlie Kirk, a bold conservative voice and a champion of American values, was gunned down during a peaceful event in Utah. He wasn’t leading a violent mob or spouting hate. He was speaking to young people about liberty, faith, and the Constitution. And for that, someone thought he deserved to die.

But what’s even more shocking is what came after. A teacher in Florida, someone entrusted with shaping young minds, took to social media to cheer his death. Kelly Brock-Sanchez, a public school teacher, didn’t just express political disagreement—she celebrated a political assassination. She called Kirk “evil” and said his death was a “close second” to the obituary she really wanted to see—hinting at none other than President Donald J. Trump.

Let that sink in. A person being paid with taxpayer dollars, trusted with our children, not only felt this kind of hatred—but was bold enough to post it publicly. That’s not “free speech.” That’s a public servant cheering on political violence. And it crosses a dangerous line.

Thankfully, Florida is not letting this slide. Education Commissioner Anastasios Kamoutsas and Governor Ron DeSantis are taking a stand. Kamoutsas sent a clear message: teachers are held to a higher standard, and anyone celebrating violence will be investigated and held accountable. DeSantis backed him up, calling this behavior “vile.” That’s leadership. That’s what it means to defend the moral fabric of a free society.

This should not be controversial. We’ve reached a point where basic decency—mourning the murder of a man—is now a political act. That tells you how far the radical Left has fallen.

Charlie Kirk wasn’t just a commentator. He was a leader in the conservative movement. He founded Turning Point USA to engage young Americans in the fight for liberty. He believed in the Constitution, the Second Amendment, and the God-given rights our founders fought to protect. For that, he was targeted—not just by a gunman, but by a culture of hatred that sees conservative Americans as enemies.

This is where unchecked political division leads. The Left lectures us about “tolerance” and “kindness,” but then smiles when someone on our side is killed. They preach peace but plant the seeds of violence in our schools, our media, and our politics.

Let’s be clear: this isn’t just about one teacher. Scott Presler, a conservative activist who helped flip Pennsylvania red in 2024, is working tirelessly to expose others who celebrated Kirk’s death. And he’s finding them—dozens of them. These are people in positions of influence, people who shape the next generation. If they’re willing to praise political murder, what else are they teaching our kids?

This is why we must demand accountability. The First Amendment protects speech, but it doesn’t protect public employees from consequences when their words betray the trust of the people they serve. If you’re a teacher and you cheer the death of a political figure, you have no business in a classroom. Period.

America was founded on the idea that all people are created equal and that our rights come from God—not the government. But those rights only survive when we protect the rule of law, respect human life, and reject violence as a political tool. If we allow hate to fester unchecked, we risk losing everything our founders built.

Charlie Kirk’s death is a tragedy. But the reaction to it is a wake-up call. We must root out the sickness in our institutions. We must demand higher standards from the people who serve the public. And we must never back down in the fight for truth, liberty, and justice.
