Does anyone in Washington D.C. have any integrity left?
Without Trump, there would be no Mike Pence. The former Vice President was small potatoes in Indiana before Donald Trump thrusted him into the national spotlight by naming him as VP. The views Pence represents are dated, played out, and oozing of RINOisms.
Nonetheless, despite Trump’s good deeds, Pence essentially abandoned the MAGA movement by not calling out the massive voter fraud schemes deployed by Democrats. He certified Joe Biden’s electoral votes despite having the Constitutional authority to combat them. Pence allowed his boss, President Trump, to fall victim to a stolen election.
Additionally, Mike Pence’s right-hand man testified before the Jan. 6 committee last week, according to a new report.
Marc Short, who was Pence’s chief of staff, was questioned by the committee Wednesday in a “lengthy session” after receiving a subpoena, according to CNN. Short, who was with Pence on Jan. 6 during the Capitol riot, is seen as a critical witness to the inquiry.
Short previously provided the House select committee with documents that were subpoenaed, the report noted.
Rep. Liz Cheney, one of two Republican members of the panel, suggested in a recent interview that several of Pence’s former associates were cooperating with the committee’s investigation.
“We look forward to continuing the cooperation that we’ve had with members of the former vice president’s team, and I look forward as well to his cooperation,” she said at the time.
Pence himself has yet to testify but did say in an interview with Fox News last Thursday that Jan. 6 was “a tragic day in the life of the nation.”
Earlier this month, the chairman of the Jan. 6 committee, Rep. Bennie Thompson, said he expects Pence will be asked to do a voluntary interview “before the month’s out.”
As the witch hunt intensifies so does Donald Trump’s rise in popularity.
Joe Biden has failed to resonate with the American people, and the Democrats are well aware just how likely it is for them to fail at both the ’22 midterm and ’24 presidential elections. Knowing this, they will do anything to put an end to Trump’s political resurgence and eventual comeback.
Including putting him behind bars.
