Ben Carson told Breitbart that he thinks people in the U.S. know they will lose their rights if the Department of Justice (DOJ) brings charges against former President Donald Trump.
“I believe he will win Michigan and many other states as well.”
“Right now he’s ahead in all the swing states,” Carson said about Trump in a recent interview at AmericaFest.
“Good news is this shows that the American people are not stupid, which is very welcome.” Carson went on, “They know what’s going on.” “They know that this will not be the same country if supporters of the left and people who hate Trump can use the legal system to stop him.”
Carson said, “It will never go back to being ‘liberty and justice for all.’”
Carson said in another part of the interview, “One of the things that did encourage me while I was moving around the country running for president was that most American citizens have common sense.” The fact that many Americans lack guts was one of the things that got me down the most.
“They do not want to be canceled or have bad things said about them, so they don’t say anything,” he said. “You need to speak up now. This is how we fight the story, all the false stories that have been going around, because people tend to accept them if they are not fought.
Carson went on to say that he thinks “there are a lot of black people who are thinking for themselves and not just letting themselves be used.”
Because they saw what he did the last time he was in office, black men seem to be moving toward Trump in particular. He said, “And it was very good.”
Carson also said of Trump, “He thinks that a rising tide lifts all boats.” He doesn’t always pick one group to be the favorite over another, but he does say, “Let’s do stuff that works for everyone,” which I think reasonable people like.
