The American Samoa Democratic Party declared Jason Palmer the winner of the American Samoa Democratic Caucus, according to Decision Desk Headquarters.
Eleven delegates from the region will represent them at the Democratic National Convention.
Palmer is an investor and entrepreneur who formerly worked for the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation, yet he is comparatively unknown to most Americans.

Palmer is a former employee of the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation and an entrepreneur and investor. On Super Tuesday, voters in over a dozen states and territories, including Democrats in American Samoa, went to the polls to express their preferences for the Democratic presidential nominee in the general election of 2024. Proponents in several states are also advocating for voters to mark “uncommitted” on Tuesday’s ballot.
