Is the White House’s censorship train finally drawing to a halt? It’s too early to tell, but the Biden admin. and the FBI was slammed by a federal court on Wednesday in a major lawsuit involving the topic.
In a lawsuit initiated by Missouri AG (and soon-to-be senator) Eric Schmitt as well as Louisiana AG Jeff Landry, a judge determined that the FBI cannot prevent special agent Elvis Chan from being deposed.
“Louisiana and Missouri officials have filed a lawsuit against the Biden government, demanding evidence about possible collusion between the FBI, DOJ, as well as other departments with social media platforms to restrict information unfavorable to the White House. The White House’s lawyers tried to prevent some depositions from occurring, such as that of FBI special agent Elvis Chan. Agent Chan was reported as having collaborated directly with Meta to delete some Facebook news content. However, U.S. District Judge Terry Doughty of the United States District Court for the Western Jurisdiction of Louisiana denied the request, permitting the depositions to proceed. Needless to say, some very worried folks are undoubtedly gnawing their fingernails in the White House this week.”
As previously documented by RedState, Meta (Fb) was at the heart of suppressing the Hunter Biden narrative before the 2020 election, perhaps swaying the outcome. Mark Zuckerberg, the company’s founder, unwittingly stated on Joe Rogan’s podcast that the FBI approached them with more than just a nudge and a wink, implying that the narrative was genuinely Russian misinformation. Worse, the FBI clearly knew at that time that the laptop narrative was real given that they had been in possession of the hard drive for more than a year.
Why did the FBI go to Facebook (and, presumably, other social media platforms) to get a negative story regarding Joe Biden and his son removed from the site? Given what we know, the only rational explanation is that they were attempting to influence the election. I think the mission was accomplished.
The case, however, does not end with Chan. Figures from the National Institutes of Health, the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, and other government institutions are also being targeted. That’s because they’ve clearly worked with social media corporations for years to push the admin’s preferred storylines. The suppression of the COVID-19 lab leak theory is one of the most visible examples, although it is far from the only one.
