You have to admit, it takes serious gall on CNN’s part to wage this new war against “misinformation” as they lead the country in the dissemination of America’s fakest, most utterly false “news” stories.
Earlier this week, CNN became the internet laughing stock after a top editor for the left-leaning network announced the creation of a special CNN team dedicated to “covering misinformation.”
“I’m hiring 3 people for a new CNN team dedicated to covering misinformation,” CNN Business Managing Editor Alex Koppelman posted to Twitter.
What do we mean by covering misinformation? Really it's about covering reality: The uses, abuses, and distortions of it, the people twisting it, and the effect that has on all of us. We already do a lot of important work on this; we want to do more.

Koppleman’s definition of “misinformation” seems to echo Democrat talking points as they continue to attack anyone who dares question the results of the 2020 presidential election.
The “misinformation” label accomplishes many things for liberals who weaponize it at every turn.
Firstly, it allows them to create an undesirable cast of Americans based on what they say or post on social media. For example, an online conservative who dare question the necessity of vaccine mandates can be categorized as someone who peddles “misinformation,” thus worthy of a lower caste.
Secondly, the “misinformation” label emboldens elected officials to use power of their office to punish political enemies. This is ever-so-apparent in the case of Donald Trump, who is currently under investigation for his role in the Capitol riot.
Trump obviously had nothing to do with the actions of the protestors, but the mere mention of questionable 2020 election tactics are enough to label him a peddler of “misinformation,” thus responsible for the entire debacle on Jan. 6.
To liberals, words are equivalent to violence — a theory they picked up in university from the far-left postmodern weirdos.
“Do you get mad when you see liars taking advantage of people?” Koppleman asked.
And the two reporters. Do you feel like you have to jump down every rabbit hole you see? Do you get mad when you see liars taking advantage of people? Do you spend more time on the internet than anyone really should? This might be the job for you! https://t.co/WnkfqHgpDW

The idea that “The Most Trusted Name In News” would cover misinformation was mocked ruthlessly by conservatives and those on the Right.

One political commentator suggested CNN report on the “misinformation” they peddled about the Charlottesville “Fine People Hoax”
May I suggest they begin with the Charlottesville #FinePeopleHoax, a damnable calumny that CNN has propagated for years 5 years now?
My repudiation of their role in spreading that myth led, in fact, to my departure from broadcasting for CNN.https://t.co/R6uTc9dJxW https://t.co/GorJfTkx7C

Or how about the Russian Collusion “misinformation” promoted by CNN for the last five years?
Trump spent 4 years attacking 2 core Russian vital interests: he 1) flooded Ukraine with lethal arms to fight Russia (which Obama refused to do) and 2) did everything to sabotage Moscow's pipeline to Germany (which Biden allowed).
The Trump-as-Putin-pawn is QAnon-level insane.

It goes without saying, but CNN is a joke — this just proves it.
