Democrats have been using the Uvalde shooting to create a renewed push for gun control. They are trying to exploit the emotion of the tragedy to advance changes to our gun laws that would do nothing to prevent mass shootings. All the while, they ignore actual solutions proven to keep schools safe (like arming teachers and citizens).
Liberals from Joe Biden to Barry Obama have blamed Republicans and the nameless “gun lobby” for the actions of a few criminals. They want to gaslight you into believing law-abiding gun owners are to blame for shootings, not evil, mentally disturbed individuals.
But the irony is, as the left blames Republicans for mass shootings, their cities (which have the strictest gun laws) have the most violence.
Soros-backed prosecutors in Democrat-run cities are overseeing some of the highest shooting numbers in decades — all while leftist politicians argue for gun control and blame Republicans for violence.
Following the mass shooting of 19 students and two teachers in Uvalde, Texas, Democrats have been using the tragic event to push for “assault weapons” bans and other “reforms” ahead of midterm elections, with some even accusing Republicans of being responsible for the bloodshed because of their adherence to the Second Amendment. But a closer look at many Democrat-run cities — specifically those with soft-on-crime prosecutors funded by billionaire globalist George Soros — shows how leftist criminal “reform” policies correlate with more violence, not less. Crime is surging in liberal cities that elected Soros-backed prosecutors. These progressive DAs refuse to prosecute violent criminals, often letting them back out on the streets. This has resulted in a spike in robberies, break-ins, and violent crime. Meanwhile, these cities pass stricter and stricter gun control, ensuring citizens have no means of defending themselves.
Cities being hammered with an increase in crime include Los Angeles, Chicago, Philadelphia, and New York. Seeing a pattern? They are all cities (or counties) run by a Democratic majority, with district attorneys and politicians who are going easy on dangerous criminals.
At the same time, they go soft on crime, they go hard on gun rights, depriving Americans of their Second Amendment rights.
Yet these same Democrats claim it’s the Republican Party who’s to blame for shootings and other crimes.
I don’t think hypocrisy is a strong enough word. It’s clear the left has an agenda: to increase violent crime in major cities while making it harder for Americans to defend themselves. The result is a greater sense of fear among law-abiding citizens, which the left can exploit to push for bigger government.
That’s an ugly assertion, but why else do they defund police, take guns away from you, and put criminals back on the streets?
Democrats will seemingly do anything to get more power. Even if that means hurting the very people they claim to support.
The only thing that will stop them, is getting this scum out of office.
