The fact of the matter is, Americans have long stopped caring about COVID-19. In most Republican-led states, they’ve been over this nonsense since the end of 2020. Certainly, by now, most liberal states have lifted their useless mandates and restrictions. Even airplanes now are free of masks (thanks to a Trump judge). By all appearances, the fear of this flu-like disease is over.
Unless, of course, you are a panic-stricken coward who blindly obeys the MSM.
Fearmonger Anthony Fauci has long refused to let go of the virus. It rocketed him to stardom, after all. And it was a useful excuse to manipulate American politics. But he rapidly lost respect, as Americans doubted his “doom-and-gloom” prophecies. Now, even Fauci is admitting America is done with COVID, but he’s still holding on to relevance for dear life.
Dr. Anthony Fauci, the country’s top infectious disease expert, says the United States is “certainly” past the pandemic stage of fighting the coronavirus, though he acknowledges it continues in other countries around the world.
“We are certainly right now in this country out of the pandemic phase,” he told PBS NewsHour host Judy Woodruff on Tuesday. “We don’t have 900,000 new infections a day and tens and tens and tens of thousands of hospitalizations and thousands of deaths. We are at a low level right now. So, if you’re saying, are we out of the pandemic phase in this country, we are.”
Fauci, also President Biden’s chief medical adviser, also said the U.S. was “not going to eradicate this virus” entirely and that the government should continue a practice of “intermittently vaccinat(ing) people.” [Source: Just the News]
Screw this guy. He is finally forced, by a reporter, to admit we are out of the “pandemic stage.” Yet Fauci still maintains that COVID is such a dire threat that the government should keep forcing people to get questionable vaccines “intermittently.”
This man is so obsessed with milking COVID, that he can’t even fully admit that it’s over. He had to qualify his answer by saying “right now,” as if the virus will suddenly flare up in the future and we’ll be back to getting our food delivered by Uber.
Let me say it to Fauci, since can’t get the memo: it’s over, Tony. Yes, the virus will be floating around, in some form, perhaps forever. But the days of violating our constitutional rights and tanking our economy are done.
A few idiots can keep wearing masks for as long as they want. But the rest of us are moving on.
Fauci never will. He will keep banging this COVID drum for as long as he can. The only way he can get him to stop, is to stop paying attention to him.
