GOP Does Not Back Down–Supports Trump Against Clinton Allegations

This week a bombshell report came out that revealed Hillary Clinton paid lawyers and a “tech executive” to spy on Donald Trump. They sought to crack into servers in Trump Tower and other locations during his 2016 campaign. And they continued to try to find dirt on the man into his presidency, even breaking into White House servers.

Donald Trump has been saying this for years, with the liberal establishment ignoring him. Now, he has been vindicated thanks to a court filing by John Durham. This blows the lid off of the “Russiagate” scandal, which Trump is calling “worse than Watergate.” In similar moments in the past, the GOP leaders—caring more about the D.C. swamp—backed away. They refused to support Trump and even backed the left.

Not this time.

Republicans are expressing fury over allegations Hillary Clinton operatives paid a contractor to spy on former President Donald Trump during his 2016 campaign and into his presidency.

They are calling it the “biggest crime in U.S. history” while demanding “a total clean out of the political class in Washington.” […]

“Durham’s report shows that the Trump campaign and White House were illegally spied on, paid for by the Clinton campaign,” wrote Ronna McDaniel, chair of the Republican National Committee (RNC)…

“The corrupt Clinton campaign paid a team to spy on their political opponent,” wrote Rep. Claudia Tenney (R-NY).

“Congressional investigations are coming,” she added. “The truth will come out.” […]

“Hillary Clinton must immediately be held accountable for her involvement in the biggest criminal political corruption story of our lifetime,” wrote House Republican Conference Chair Rep. Elise Stefanik. [Source: Breitbart]

More fiery responses came from Ted Cruz, who called on those involved to be thrown in jail. Also Rand Paul and a large group of Republican House members, along with House Minority Leader Kevin McCarthy. Silent, so far, has been Mitch McConnell, who appears more interested in protecting the establishment than calling out the Democrats’ criminality.

Let’s be honest, Democrats and the media will not try to hold Clinton accountable. They will be all too happy to sweep this shocking revelation under the carpets. That is especially true now, as rumors spread that she might re-enter politics. It’s up to Republicans, especially those in office, to demand accountability.

They need to use this bombshell report to light a fire under voters. The GOP must urge Americans to give them back control of Congress, so they can use their influence to investigate these allegations, confirming what Durham has uncovered. If not, then there is no reason Americans should trust Republicans with the keys to our government.

So far, it looks like the right people are properly outraged. And it will probably only grow as more news comes out.
