Gas prices might have gone down slightly, but the record-high energy prices continue to hurt the entire economy. All that Biden has to do is reopen drilling for oil on federal land. That would bring the price of oil down dramatically—and help ease the burden everyone is feeling. But he refuses to do so because his administration is run by far-left extremists.

The Democratic Party refuses to step up and push Biden to action. They can easily pass legislation that would reopen drilling, lower gas prices, and see inflation reduce. Instead, we have 9.1% inflation as it rises at a non-stop pace.

All this spells trouble for Democrats come November. And one Republican has summed up their chances.

Sen. Rick Scott (R-FL) describes in a single word what’s coming for Democrats in the 2022 midterm elections: Bloodbath…

Scott says inflation will be the key issue in the November elections. “This is hurting so many people in my state, so I think this is going to be a bloodbath for the Democrats this year,” he said.

“This is not going to be about ‘24. It’s going to be about ’22,” he said. “It’s going to be about three issues: inflation, are my kids getting a good education, living in a safe community, and the Democrats are on the wrong side of those issues.” [Source: Daily Wire]

The solution to inflation is staring Democrats right in the face. Allow American energy companies to produce as much energy as they want. Inflation would reverse immediately. Other factors, like the supply chain backlog, pale in comparison to that one issue.

But Democrats refuse to do anything about it, because they like Joe are pushing a radical environmentalist agenda.

Sen. Scott knows this, and he appears to know that voters will have their say this November. He also pointed to other critical issues facing Americans. He said the challenge of getting children a good education weighs heavy on parents. As does the increase in crime in blue cities.

Democrats have failed on both of these issues as well. The left continues to push a radical and divisive agenda through our public schools. Many parents are rethinking putting their children in public school when teachers are allowed to talk about CRT and gender ideology.

And we all know where Democrats stand when it comes to supporting the police. Their “defund” movement has ensured criminals can walk free in major cities.

Despite the many polls showing Biden’s low approval and other polls showing Democrats losing to Republicans, the left has refused to make changes to their agenda.

Even now, House Democrats are plotting to push through legislation protecting abortion, gay marriage, and other radical goals. It doesn’t seem they are even interested in listening to what Americans want. They are so hell-bent on pushing their own agenda, they are burning every bridge along the way.

And it will most likely be a bloodbath.
