Many Democrats were hesitant when White House chief of staff Ron Klain promised “More POTUS” as a way to ramp up support ahead of the ’22 midterm elections.
And they were right to be concerned.
The cognitively deficient president has since increased his public profile by holding more public speaking events across the country. This has largely resulted in immense failure as it’s become increasingly obvious that Joe Biden is not mentally or physically capable of running the United States.
As a result, the left has largely turned on Biden. Recent events like the Supreme Court Roe v. Wade decision and an increase in mass shootings prompted far-left progressives to wonder why the president they got elected is doing nothing to advance their liberal agenda.
This was evident on Monday when Biden held a White House event to “celebrate” the passage of a bipartisan gun control bill.
A gun-control advocate, who was invited by the White House to attend this event, shouted down the president on Monday as he gave a speech celebrating the passage of the bipartisan gun control legislation, Safer Communities Act.
Manuel Oliver, the father of Parkland victim Joaquin Oliver, stood up during the South Lawn ceremony and loudly objected to Biden’s claim that the bipartisan gun violence bill “matched thoughts and prayers with action.”
Biden was visibly shaken as Oliver began heckling and ordered the Parkland father to “sit down” and “hear what I have to say.” Biden then ordered his security staff to escort the father out of the event.
Before the event, Oliver took to social media to announce his displeasure over Biden’s lack of action on gun control.

The word CELEBRATION has no space in a society that saw 19 kids massacred just a month ago. “Most people overestimate what they can do in one year and underestimate what they can do in ten years.” Not me, not Joaquin. @ChangeTheRef

Not surprising since Biden does have a weird habit of using the Parkland tragedy as a way to virtue signal. Not to mention during Monday’s event when he claimed the school shooting occurred in “1918”. He was only 100 years off!

While on the campaign trail, Biden also claimed to have been vice president when the tragedy happened despite being out of office for over a year.
Biden proceeded to outline how the legislation included funding for red flag laws, closing the boyfriend loophole, and outlawing straw purchases — measures that were proven ineffectual by a recent mass shooting in Highland Park, Illinois.
Since the signing, gun control advocates have not been shy to voice their displeasure over the legislation. They argue Americans need further restrictions while twisting themselves into a pretzel trying to ignore the Second Amendment of the U.S. Constitution which grants Americans the right to defend themselves.
