Vice President Kamala Harris used the chance to express her support for Joe Biden’s announcement on Tuesday that he will run for reelection and seek office one again in 2024.
Harris declared in a statement outlining her goals that the 2024 presidential election will be a “pivotal moment in our history.”
Critics believe she stumbles gleefully from one failure to the next, with a great majority of people feeling a direct opposition about her past efforts and her intentions to run again.
She stated, “For the past two years, we have implemented transformational investments in developing a nation that ensures everyone can be healthy and safe, find an excellent job, and retire with utmost respect” before rejecting Biden’s appeal for cooperation and attacking her Republican rivals.
She took to social media to praise herself and Biden for their efforts while denouncing GOP members as “extremists” and accusing party candidates of trying to move the country “backward.”
The vice president added the following in her GOP criticism:
“Extremists have increased their attacks on fundamental freedoms and rights in response.”
“For instance, they seek to restrict a woman’s ability to make decisions regarding her own body. They want to muffle the people’s voices while attacking the precious right to vote. And they work to thwart sensible changes that would prevent gun violence and save lives.”
“The Republican presidential candidates,” according to Harris, “want to move our nation backward. We won’t allow it to happen.”
“We must band together to defend our democracy, advance the cause, and ensure that all Americans may prosper, just as we did in 2020.” she said, “Joe and I look forward to completing the task, triumphing in this struggle for the soul of our country, and representing the American people for another four years in the White House.”
