DHS Secretary Kristi Noem is heading to Guantanamo Bay, where President Donald Trump is making good on his promise to crack down on illegal alien crime by using the naval base to detain 30,000 of the worst offenders awaiting deportation.
A DHS official confirmed Noem’s visit to the Miami Herald, as the first U.S. military flight carrying illegal migrants landed at Gitmo this week—a major escalation in Trump’s fight against Biden’s border disaster.
Trump’s America: No Revolving Door for Illegals
Trump signed the Laken Riley Act, cracking down on criminal migrants, alongside a powerful Executive Order ordering DHS and the Department of Defense to prepare the 30,000-bed facility at Guantanamo Bay.
Trump made it clear:
“We have 30,000 beds in Guantanamo to detain the worst criminal illegal aliens threatening the American people. Some of them are so bad we don’t even trust the [home] countries to hold them because we don’t want them coming back, so we’re going to send them out to Guantanamo.”
And for those wondering just how serious Trump is about border security, he doubled down:
“It’s a tough place to get out of.”
Kristi Noem: “The Worst of the Worst Start Today”
As DHS ramps up enforcement, Noem took to X to drive home the message:
“President @realdonaldtrump has been very clear: Guantanamo Bay will hold the worst of the worst. That starts today.”

Meanwhile, the first military transport of illegal migrants left Biggs Army Airfield in El Paso, Texas, taking the first batch of criminal aliens straight to Gitmo—proof that Trump’s America First immigration policy is back in full force.
A New Era of Border Enforcement
Gone are the days of Biden’s disastrous catch-and-release policies. Trump is proving there are real consequences for breaking America’s immigration laws—and the left is already losing its mind.
Now, Congress must step up and fund the complete restoration of America’s sovereign borders. Until then, Trump is making it clear: criminal aliens aren’t going free—they’re going to Gitmo.
