Secret Abortions for Teens: School Scandal Shocks Parents

Secret Abortions for Teens: School Scandal Shocks Parents

If this story doesn’t make your blood boil, you’re not paying attention. Fairfax County Public Schools (FCPS) in Virginia is under investigation after explosive reports alleged that school staff arranged abortions for underage students—without their parents’ knowledge or consent. Let’s be clear: if these allegations are true, they didn’t just break the law—they betrayed every parent in America.

According to reports from WJLA and a detailed exposé by the *Washington County Dispatch*, school officials at Centreville High School allegedly coordinated and paid for abortions for students, including a 17-year-old girl, back in 2021. Not only was this done without parental consent, but apparently behind locked doors and under a cone of silence that reeks of systemic cover-up.

Now the district is scrambling. In a statement, FCPS claimed, “We are launching an immediate and comprehensive investigation as we take all concerns of student wellbeing very seriously.” No, they’re not. If they took student wellbeing seriously, they wouldn’t be sending kids out for surgical procedures in secret. They’re “launching” this investigation because they got caught.

Let’s talk about the law. Virginia is not California. Parental consent and notification are required under Virginia state law before a minor can receive an abortion. That’s not optional. That’s not a gray area. It’s the law. If school personnel orchestrated any part of the process—transportation, payment, scheduling—they didn’t just cross an ethical line. They broke the law. Period.

The district’s own policy says staff should “encourage and support students suspecting pregnancy to discuss their concerns with their parents or guardians.” But then it adds this weasel clause: “In no case shall personnel commit themselves to maintain such information confidentially, keeping it from parents.” That’s bureaucratic legalese designed to give them wiggle room. It doesn’t say they *must* tell parents—just that they shouldn’t promise not to. That’s a loophole you could drive a Planned Parenthood van through.

And here’s the kicker—when asked whether FCPS employees inform students about abortions or tell them where to go, the district dodged. Instead, they passed the buck to public health nurses, claiming those nurses are technically employed by the Fairfax County Health Department, not the school. That’s deliberate obfuscation. If a student is under the care of the school system and is being referred by school staff to outside services for a life-altering medical procedure, the school is still on the hook. Hiding behind staffing technicalities doesn’t change that.

This isn’t just a local scandal. It’s a warning shot to parents across America. If it can happen in Fairfax County, it can happen anywhere. We are seeing the consequence of a public education system that treats parents as the enemy and believes the state—not the family—should make life-and-death decisions for minors.

It’s no accident this is happening in one of the most liberal school districts in Virginia. These are the same ideologues who think children can change genders without mom or dad knowing. The same ones who push radical sex-ed curricula down kids’ throats while locking parents out of the classroom. Now we’re finding out they may have gone even further—facilitating abortions for minors behind closed doors.

Let’s be absolutely clear: If school staff helped even one student obtain an abortion without parental consent, they need to be held accountable—legally and professionally. That includes criminal charges if warranted, immediate termination, and a full audit of the district’s health and counseling programs.

In a sane country, this would be front-page news. But the corporate media is too busy chasing Trump indictments and climate scare stories to report on what’s happening in our schools. So it’s up to us—parents, voters, and conservatives who still believe in the sanctity of the family—to shine a light on this rot and root it out.

This is not about reproductive rights. It’s about parental rights. And if we allow government employees to secretly shepherd our daughters into clinics without our knowledge, then we’ve already surrendered the most basic responsibility we have as Americans: protecting our children.
