The Communist Party in China has done, and will do, stoop to just about any low to weaken U.S. influence across the globe. A similiar sentiment comes from a certain faction of the Republican Party – the RINOs – who’ve trusted the U.S. into unnecessary war, destroyed the U.S. economy, and conspired with America’s enemies.

It’s been reported that a foundation started by Neil Bush, the son of the Late George H.W. Bush has been exclusively bankrolled by the CCP. The Communist funds haven’t been direct, of course, but insidiously funneled through a private firm linked to the Chinese regime.

The revelation that the George H.W. Bush Foundation for U.S.-China Relations, founded by the younger Bush in 2017, is receiving a hefty paycheck of $5 million to be dispersed between 2019 and 2023. The transaction is being made through CUSEF – the China-United States Exchange Foundation, who’s ties to the Communist government are no secret.

The report states:

Tax records coving the George H.W. Bush Foundation show they’ve already received contributions from the Chinese Communists totaling over $1.2 million thus far. CUSEF’s hand-outs have been the driving force behind the Bush Foundation’s funding, likely comprising of a majority of its revenue.

The Hong Kong-based CUSEF is run by the city’s former chief executive, Tung Chee-Hwa. It calls itself “an independent, non-profit and non-governmental foundation.”

Not so shockingly, Tung is also the vice-president of a Beijing-based advisory board that promotes Chinese Communist propaganda to promote their political goals,

It’s been understood by many in Washington that CUSEF is doing the bidding of the Chinese Communist Party.

For instance, in a act of bipartisanship, Reps. Henry Cueller (D) and McCaul (R) both of Texas wrote to university presidents warning them of CUSEF’s communist influence on college campuses, noting the organization’s plan to “spread China’s political propaganda, suppress academic freedom, and steal vital research from our institutions.”

Johns Hopkins University’s School of Advanced International Studies (SAIS) was notably called out a year earlier for appearing on CUSEF’s payroll to fund “a new, bolstered academic department dedicated to China Studies as well as research for Communist-baked research project called Pacific Community Initiative.”

CUSEF operatives stress that it is not an arm of the CCP, yet the foundation has cooperated on numerous initiatives with the the People’s Liberation Army and uses the same Washington D.C. lobbying firm as the Chinese Embassy.

Donations and partnerships with American political foundations are not CUSEF’s only plan of action. In 2016 they registered as a foreign agent, spending just under $700,000 to hire the Podesta Group, a lobbying firm with close ties to the Obama administration. In 2017 alone CUSEF has spend over $500,000 on lobbying for “U.S.-China relations.”

In response to recent reporting, a spokesperson for the George H.W. Bush Foundation for U.S.-China Relations lauded their relationship with the Communist regime and attempted to legitimize its funding from CUSEF, saying they’re “proud” of the collaborative work, adding, “we do not buy in to the conspiratorial narrative.”
