This time, it’s over a tragedy that should have never happened. Two National Guard soldiers were ambushed in broad daylight in Washington, D.C., and one of them—Specialist Sarah Beckstrom—died from her wounds. The suspect? An Afghan national who came here thanks to Joe Biden’s disastrous and reckless withdrawal from Afghanistan in 2021.

Let’s be very clear about what happened. This shooter didn’t come here under Trump’s watch. He didn’t cross the border during a secure America First policy. He was flown here—on purpose—under Biden’s so-called “evacuation” plan that brought tens of thousands of unvetted Afghan nationals into our country. And now, one of our brave National Guard troops is dead.

So what does Al Sharpton do? He goes on left-wing television and blames Trump.

That’s not just dishonest—it’s disgusting. It’s a slap in the face to every American who has watched our country become less safe under the open-border, soft-on-crime policies of the radical left. It’s a lie told to cover up the truth: this tragedy is the direct result of Biden’s failures, not Trump’s leadership.

Sharpton claims these guardsmen were “put there” by Trump, as if the president is to blame for placing troops in a city wracked by crime and lawlessness. But why are they even needed in the first place? Because Democrat-run cities like Washington, D.C., have become war zones. Crime is out of control. Shoplifting, carjackings, assaults—violent crime is rising, and leftist politicians are too busy worrying about pronouns and climate pledges to do anything about it.

President Trump, as always, took action. After the shooting, he sent 500 more National Guard troops to D.C. to help restore order. That’s leadership. That’s what it means to protect the American people. But instead of thanking him, Sharpton dismisses the move as political. He says it’s “insensitive.” No, Al—it’s called doing the job the Commander-in-Chief is supposed to do: protect American lives, borders, and streets.

Sharpton then has the audacity to bring up January 6th—again—claiming Trump supporters don’t really support law enforcement. This is rich coming from someone who has made a career out of attacking the police, marching with radicals who chant “defund the police,” and defending riots as “mostly peaceful protests.” The left doesn’t get to lecture patriotic Americans about law and order when they’ve spent years undermining it.

Let’s return to the facts. An innocent American soldier is dead. Her killer was brought here under Biden’s watch, not Trump’s. The border is open. Our cities are crumbling. And every time patriots try to step in and clean up the mess, the media and left-wing mouthpieces like Al Sharpton scream racism, fascism, and blame Trump.

But Americans aren’t buying it anymore. We see what’s happening. We know who’s really responsible. And we know who’s stepping up to fix it.

President Trump stands with our troops. He stands with our law enforcement. He stands for a secure border, a strong military, and safe streets. That’s why he’s back in charge—and why the American people are behind him.

Let’s honor Specialist Sarah Beckstrom, not by playing political games, but by demanding accountability. Let’s stop importing unknown foreign nationals who pose a threat to our people. Let’s shut the border, secure our cities, and take back control from the people who let this happen.
