Of all the members of Congress, Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez is among the most ignorant and foolish. And it makes quite a statement. In all likelihood, Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene is the least intelligent member of Congress. I would not put money on how much the two vary in their relative lack of intelligence.
However, since the focus of this post is AOC’s foolishness, Greene should simply wait for her turn, sit down, and quiet down.
You have undoubtedly heard about MTG’s and Rep. Jasmine Crockett’s disruptive behavior during a House Oversight Committee meeting on Thursday. Greene was interviewing Committee Democrats to find out which ones had hired Loren, the president of Authentic Campaigns, a progressive political consulting business located in Chicago, and the daughter of Judge Juan Merchan.
MTG’s takeover of a meeting meant to be a mark-up session on a measure to move Attorney General Merrick Garland’s contempt proceedings forward infuriated Representative Jasmine Crockett.
Crockett asked Greene Crockett, “Please explain to me what that has to do with Merrick Garland.”
“Are you aware of our purpose?” “I do not think you realize what you are here for,” Greene said. “In my opinion, your false eyelashes obscure what you are reading.”
From that point on, things got worse.
Crockett returned it as best she could. Though it was clearly not a “point of order,” she pretended to raise one anyhow. What do you expect from one of the least intelligent members of Congress? He ultimately insulted MTG with a few vivid, politically inappropriate analogies.
She remarked, “I am only attempting to comprehend your verdict more fully.” “So it wouldn’t be engaging in personalities if someone on this committee started commenting about whoever has a bleach-blond, bad-built butch physique, right?”
“Rep. Marjorie Taylor Green staged what looked to be a brawl between two members of Congress in order to divert the committee’s attention and allow Republicans to amend the measure under consideration to include anti-democratic, “authoritarian” wording.”
A Republican responded sharply to the tirade.
“In fact, most have virtually unlimited freedom to markup. If AOC is aware of what “standard practice” is, she does a good job of hiding it. Democrats should not take it well if you are “still unclear to me how legitimate it was.”
