Senator Chuck Grassley just dropped a bombshell that should be the lead story on every network in America. New documents prove that the Biden FBI launched surveillance operations against Republican members of Congress almost immediately after Biden was inaugurated — without adequate evidence to justify any of it.
The sound you’re hearing right now is crickets. Every single legacy media outlet has decided this story doesn’t exist. Funny how that works.
If Trump’s FBI had secretly collected phone records on Democrat members of Congress based on bogus complaints from Republican lawmakers, it would be the only story on every channel for six months. There would be a special counsel, a congressional commission, twelve Netflix documentaries, and Anderson Cooper would be weeping on camera every night until 2030.
But Biden’s FBI does it to Republicans? Nothing. Not a peep.
Here’s what Grassley’s investigation uncovered. The FBI didn’t just run one rogue operation against political opponents. This was a pattern. You may have heard of “Operation Arctic Frost” — the FBI’s creepy surveillance program targeting people connected to the January 6th protests. Turns out that was just the appetizer.
The FBI collected the phone records of Representative Lauren Boebert and Representative Paul Gosar. Their crime? Democrat members of Congress — specifically Reps. Mikie Sherrill and Steve Cohen — filed complaints against them. That’s it. That was the “evidence.” Two Democrats pointed fingers, and the FBI started pulling phone records like they were hunting down a cartel boss.
Reps. Andy Biggs and Mo Brooks got swept up in the dragnet too. The whole thing was kicked off by Democrat lawmakers making what Grassley’s investigation calls “bogus complaints.” Not credible intelligence. Not evidence of criminal activity. Bogus. Complaints.
We used to have a word for governments that use their intelligence agencies to spy on the political opposition. It wasn’t “democracy.”
The documents also reference a program called “Rampart Twelve” — which sounds like something out of a spy novel, except this one was aimed at American citizens who happened to be Republican elected officials. Timothy Thibault, the disgraced FBI agent who was already caught burying the Hunter Biden laptop story, shows up in the paper trail. So does Jack Smith, the guy Biden’s DOJ hand-picked to prosecute Trump on garbage charges that got thrown out of court.
(Noticing a pattern yet? The same cast of characters keeps showing up every time the FBI gets caught doing something it shouldn’t be doing.)
This is the biggest political surveillance scandal since Watergate, and it’s arguably worse. Nixon used a bunch of bumbling burglars to break into the DNC. Biden used the most powerful law enforcement agency on the planet to spy on sitting members of Congress from the opposing party — and he did it with your tax dollars.
The media’s silence on this tells you everything you need to know. These are the same people who spent four years screaming about “threats to democracy” while the actual threat to democracy was happening inside the Hoover Building. They ran wall-to-wall coverage of a fake Russian collusion hoax for three straight years, but the FBI literally surveilling Republican lawmakers based on nothing? Apparently that’s not newsworthy.
We keep hearing that our “institutions” need to be protected. Protected from what? From the people exposing the fact that those institutions were weaponized against half the country? The FBI wasn’t protecting America from threats. It was protecting the Democrat Party from political competition.
Grassley is 92 years old and he’s still doing more actual oversight than every journalist at CNN, MSNBC, the New York Times, and the Washington Post combined. The man is out here pulling classified documents and connecting dots while Brian Stelter’s replacement is running segments about Trump’s lunch order.
President Trump has already started the long process of cleaning house at the FBI and DOJ. Every single document Grassley is uncovering proves exactly why that cleanup was necessary. The people who turned federal law enforcement into a political weapon don’t deserve to carry a badge.
And the media outlets that are pretending this story doesn’t exist? They’re not journalists. They’re accomplices.
