Things Get Tense After Biden’s Press Sec. Shouts At Reporter

A reporter’s question regarding the president’s mental health caused the White House briefing room to get chaotic on Wednesday. Press secretary Karine Jean-Pierre called the woman “very nasty.”

At a White House symposium on hunger, nutrition, and health on Wednesday, President Biden seemed to scream out for GOP Jackie Walorski of Indiana. Early in August, Walorski tragically perished in an automobile accident.

“And I would like to thank everyone here, including the elected representatives from both parties, such as Sen. Braun, Rep McGovern, Senator Booker, and Rep. Jackie. Are you here? How is Jackie doing? Biden looked around as he asked. “I didn’t anticipate she would be present.”

During a press conference, Jean-Pierre was questioned about Biden’s apparent error.

Jean-Pierre responded, “Look, Biden was at a conference, you could all see, you all observed, and that is why you’re asking the question, correct, where he was shouting out again, members of congress, nonpartisan leadership that we have seen on this specific subject. And once more, she was high on the priority list because he was going to see her family within only two days. In other words, such a situation there isn’t really rare.

James Rosen of Newsmax responded, “Karine, I keep John Lennon on my mind daily, but I’m not searching around for him everywhere.”

“We can have this discussion after you pass a bill naming John Lennon president,” Jean-Pierre said.

“Americans are concerned as these moments of disorientation occur and are watching.” Your response to that is: As the room erupts in questions, one reporter is heard stating, “This is a real question, we have to have some answer.”

After that, a male reporter starts to ask a different question, but Jean-Pierre interrupts him and apologizes for someone shouting over him.

But this time, the female reporter starts speaking as the other male reporter demands details about Biden’s mental faculties. The press secretary remarked, “You are nasty to your colleagues and it is not your moment to talk. That’s quite disrespectful since you’re shouting over your colleague.”

Saying that Walorski was “top of mind” for Biden is just not a sufficient response, the reporter could be heard retorting.

The late congresswoman introduced bipartisan legislation in October 2021 to “convene the country’s second White House convention on food, nutrition, hunger, and health,” along with Democratic Massachusetts U.s. representative James P. McGovern, Democratic Senator Cory Booker of New Jersey, and GOP Sen. Mike Braun of Indiana.
