This week, Tucker Carlson, a former anchor of Fox News, posted the first episode of his new program on Twitter. He spent most of the broadcast criticizing the arguments made by people who support the Ukrainian battle against the Russian invasion.
Shortly after Fox News and Dominion Voting Systems reached a $787.5 million settlement in their legal dispute, Carlson parted ways with the cable news network. For a number of years, his show was the most-watched cable news program, and since his departure, Fox News’ ratings have significantly declined.
Since his departure, he has charged Fox News with contract violation and fraud in connection with those events.
Volodymyr Zelenskyy, the president of Ukraine, and the Republicans who have backed the United States in giving the country money and equipment for its military were also targets of Carlson’s debut Twitter program. He made a connection between the media’s endorsement of the conflict and a claim that the United States had hushed up an occurrence when an alleged alien UFO had been discovered.
Carlson likened Americans to the Russians who were propagandized and kept in the dark by the then-Soviet Union at the conclusion of the ten-minute episode.
“Now, we are the ones who are ignorant. The American government has been able to categorize over a billion supposedly public papers. We thus cannot possibly know what our leaders are up to at this moment. We’re not permitted to know,” Carlson stated.
“By definition, this isn’t a democracy,” he said.
“However, the media are happy with it. Stop wondering how we become so wealthy! Secrecy is a potent instrument of control. Here is just another instance of racism! Eat one another. That is the plan. The majority of us in the United States are controlled by falsehoods and kept silent by taboos,” Carlson said.
He said, “It’s unhealthy, it is degrading, and we’re weary of it.”
“Twitter, which we believe will serve as the short-wave radio beneath the covers, has arrived today. There are no gatekeepers here, so we’re told. We’ll depart if it turns out to be untrue. But for now, we’re glad to be here,” Carlson remarked.
“We will be back with a lot more very soon,” he said in conclusion.
