According to recent polls, there is rising worry about President Biden’s physical condition. In a possible general election rematch, former President Donald Trump is leading President Biden.

According to a recent Quinnipiac University survey, Biden is now leading Trump by four points in a hypothetical contest, gaining 49% of potential voters’ support compared to 45% who indicated they would vote for the former president.

After a survey on January 31 showed Biden ahead of Trump by 6 points, 50% to 44%, the results indicate a small tightening of the race.

With the backing of 80% of respondents who identify as Republicans, Trump is still the front-runner in the Republican presidential primary. Only 17% of respondents indicated they favor former U.N. Ambassador Nikki Haley as the GOP nominee.

A significant majority of voters, 67%, stated they thought Joe Biden was too elderly and physically incapable of serving another four-year term as president, adding to mounting doubts about the president’s health.

Conversely, 57% of Americans believe that Trump is still eligible to run for president.

Additionally, almost twice as many respondents think Trump is physically fitter than Biden, according to the study.

“A divided choice between Biden and Trump over their level of physical and emotional health leaves both parties seeming vulnerable,” said Quinnipiac University polling analyst Tim Malloy. “Yes, Americans have more faith in Biden’s empathy for them and his emotional stability to do the job, but Trump wins hands down on the age and stamina question.”

The percentage of voters who stated they were satisfied with Biden’s administration was just 40%.

Only a few weeks have passed since Special Counsel Robert Hur’s report on Biden’s handling of secret materials was made public. In it, Hur referred to the president as “an old guy with a bad memory who is compassionate and well-meaning.”
