A Biden-appointed federal judge in Massachusetts just ordered ICE to release an illegal immigrant who is wanted for murder in the Dominican Republic. U.S. District Judge Melissa DuBose looked at Bryan Rafael Gomez — a man with an active homicide warrant from Santo Domingo — and decided the real injustice here was that he was being detained.

Here’s the timeline on this gem of a human being. Gomez snuck across the border illegally near Lukeville, Arizona back in 2022. Border Patrol caught him — and then, because this was the Biden era, they released him right into the country. You know, the old “catch and release” program that works exactly as well as it sounds.
While Gomez was enjoying his taxpayer-funded American vacation, authorities back in the Dominican Republic issued a criminal arrest warrant for him on January 24, 2023. For homicide. Not jaywalking. Not an unpaid parking ticket. Homicide.
Did that slow him down? Of course not. On April 4th, Worcester police arrested Gomez for assault and battery — because apparently murdering someone in the Caribbean wasn’t enough excitement for one lifetime. Local authorities actually did the right thing and honored an ICE detainer on him.
And then some genius judge set his bail at $500.
Five. Hundred. Dollars.
That’s less than a month of car insurance in Massachusetts. That’s what we valued public safety at for a guy wanted for killing someone. But anyway, Gomez posted bail and then — here’s where it gets truly beautiful — he filed a habeas petition challenging his ICE detention. Because in Joe Biden’s America, even accused murderers have better lawyers than you do.
Judge DuBose, a Biden appointee (shocked face), took one look at the petition and said, “Yeah, release him.” Minimal release conditions. That’s the legal term for “we’re going to pretend we’re monitoring this guy while he disappears into the wind.”
