Reports say that President Joe Biden (D) has spent 40.3% of his time in office on vacation, while Americans deal with problems like high prices and an open border.

In a post on August 31, the RNC Research shared a video of Biden relaxing on a beach chair.

“Biden hung out on the beach today, which was his 16th day in a row of holiday. He has been on leave for 532 days, which is 40.3% of his time as president. Who is in charge of the country?” The post said.

A person on social media quickly said what they thought about the story: “Same people running it when he’s not on vacation.”

“This guy is WAY TOO MUCH. He’s not in charge.” Another person said, “He’s wasting his time while America is hurting.”

The Economic Times reported on Sunday that Biden recently spent 16 days relaxing at Rehoboth Beach, Delaware. They said that “Biden’s holiday time greatly exceeds that of his peers.”

“Former President Donald Trump took vacations about 26% of the time he was president, while Ronald Reagan and Barack Obama took vacations about 11% of the time they were president. And during Jimmy Carter’s one term, he only took 79 days off.”

Breitbart News reported in August 2022 that Biden went back to his house in Delaware. This was his 49th trip to the state while he was president:

“Following his election as president 18 months ago, Biden has now spent a record total of 150 days at home in Delaware, according to former CBS reporter Mark Knoller. This is a huge increase from recent presidential records. That number doesn’t include Biden’s Thanksgiving vacation on Nantucket Island, Massachusetts, or his summer vacation last week on Kiawah Island, North Carolina.”

Breitbart News reported in July that a recent study by CBS News and YouGov found that 72 percent of registered voters don’t think Biden has the “mental” and “brain health” to be president.

“The poll makes it clear that voters have real doubts about Biden’s ability to finish his term,” the story said.
