Strange Arizona Election Results Have Conservatives Furious

Maricopa County, Arizona’s most populous county, announced results from 85,656 tallied ballots on Saturday, which broke marginally for Republicans in the governor and attorney general contests and against Republican candidates in the U.S. Senate and the secretary of state elections.

Maricopa County believes that its county-wide tallying is now 87.6% complete, according to KNXV ABC 15 Data Analyst Garret Archer.

Archer later clarified that this was only a percentage of the 114,000 “late early drop-offs” projected for Republican governor candidate Kari Lake and other contenders.

“There is no doubt that Rs will win the following batches. It’s only a matter of how much,” he added.

Except for the counties listed below, all counties had reported at least 95 percent of their respective results as of 9:00 a.m. Eastern Saturday.

  • 68 percent for Apache
  • 82 percent for Cochise
  • 93 percent coconino
  • 87 percent Maricopa County
  • 88 percent Navajo people
  • 88 percent for Pinal
  • 87 percent for Pima

Maricopa County’s anticipated 185,000-195,000 outstanding ballots include approximately 5,000 “Election Day ballots,” 171,227 “early ballots left to process and tabulate,” around 10,159 “early votes left to cure,” and 430 “provisional ballots left to verify.”

On Nov. 11, 2022, election workers open the mail-in votes at the Maricopa County Tabulation and Election Facility in Phoenix, AZ. Votes are still being tallied in Maricopa County three days after Arizona voters went out to vote for the midterm election.

The News Agency declared Kelly as the victor of the U.S. Senate election and Fontes as the new Secretary of State after the outcomes of Friday night’s batch, that benefited Democrats, were announced.

“We are going to ensure that every lawful vote is counted for my folks that knocked on doors in 115-degree weather, and for the million+ Arizonans who placed their trust in me,” Masters tweeted on Sat.

“If Senator Kelly ends up with more than I do, I will congratulate him on a hard-fought win. But voters, not the media, decide; let the ballots be counted,” he continued.

Maricopa County Board of Supervisors President Bill Gates indicated during a press conference on Saturday that he was “not sure on the timing” for when the results would be released on Sunday.
