Georgia Congresswoman Marjorie Taylor Greene is reminding everyone that loyalty matters, especially when it comes to picking the key players for a Trump Cabinet. Greene, one of Trump’s staunchest supporters from day one, says the president-elect’s next administration should prioritize longtime MAGA loyalists over fresh faces like Robert F. Kennedy Jr., Elon Musk, and Vivek Ramaswamy.
In a recent panel on Real America’s Voice, Greene was asked who she’d like to see in Trump’s Cabinet. Host Beau Davidson threw out names like RFK Jr. and Musk, along with Ramaswamy. Greene quickly pointed out that these “brand-new people” may be on board now, but they’re not the tried-and-true Trump backers who have been there through thick and thin. “RFK, Vivek, they both tried to beat [Trump] in the presidential race this year,” Greene said, adding that while she’s glad they’re on the team, “I also don’t think that we put them in charge of everything.”
She’s got a point. After all, MAGA loyalists like Greene have been on the front lines supporting Trump’s policies without ever backing down. “It’s important to realize who stood with President Trump from the beginning,” she said. “And there’s those of us that have been very loyal. We understand his policies, we support them through and through.”
And while Trump hasn’t made any formal announcements about Cabinet roles, Greene’s name has come up in speculation, especially when former Trump adviser Steve Bannon joked about her potentially heading the Department of Homeland Security. Greene laughed off the idea, saying, “I don’t know what’s going to happen,” but her supporters are likely hoping for a big role in a new administration.
Meanwhile, other possible Cabinet picks have been floating around, including Musk, who has pitched himself as a “government efficiency” guy, happy to lead a cost-cutting committee. Ramaswamy, another rumored choice, has also received praise from Trump, who called him “really smart” and someone who could take on the “big monsters” in government.
One thing is clear: with Trump’s win and a Republican Senate, the next administration is ready to shake up the status quo, especially when it comes to federal agencies that many believe need a good draining. Greene, with her uncompromising stance and devotion to Trump’s America First agenda, is reminding everyone that the true backbone of this movement comes from the folks who’ve been there since the start. As Trump gears up to make his picks, it’s likely the loyal MAGA base will have a significant role in getting America back on track.
