When it comes to the safety of our nation, President Trump has once again proven his decisive leadership, unafraid to stand firm against threats to American security. The recent successful strike against Iran’s nuclear facilities represented a bold, necessary move that delivered a clear message: America will defend itself by any means necessary. Yet, predictably, Trump’s decisive action has drawn the ire and criticism of the left-wing establishment and their media allies, who seem more concerned with undermining the president than safeguarding our country.
At the heart of the current controversy is Tulsi Gabbard, the Director of National Intelligence, who found herself excluded from a recent congressional briefing on Iran. According to Sen. Chris Murphy (D-CT), Gabbard was “banned” from the session, suggesting the administration was attempting to silence dissenting voices. Murphy’s hyperbolic claim, eagerly amplified by the mainstream media, conveniently ignores the facts of the matter.
The White House has clearly stated that the scheduling change was due to practical reasons, and CIA Director John Ratcliffe represented the intelligence community in Gabbard’s absence. But that hasn’t stopped the hysterical cries from Democrats like Murphy, whose selective outrage seems less concerned with the facts and more focused on scoring political points against President Trump.
Tulsi Gabbard herself hasn’t exactly made it easy for the administration. Back in March, she publicly contradicted the president, claiming Iran was not building a nuclear weapon, a statement Trump rightly labeled as “wrong.” This week, Gabbard reversed course somewhat, acknowledging in a post on X that “new intelligence” shows Iran’s nuclear facilities have indeed been destroyed, and reconstruction would take years. Yet, the damage from her previous contradictory statements had already been done, providing ammunition to those eager to cast doubt on Trump’s decisive actions.
Gabbard’s exclusion comes as the White House plans to limit classified intelligence sharing with Congress because of the past leaked intelligence. Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer (D-NY) said the decision should be undone.
“The administration has no right to stonewall Congress on matters of national security,” Schumer said on the Senate floor. “Senators deserve information, and the administration has a legal obligation to inform Congress precisely about what is happening right now abroad.”
Let’s be clear: limiting access to sensitive intelligence isn’t about withholding information from Congress; it’s a responsible measure to prevent damaging leaks that compromise national security. Time and again, we’ve seen Democrats and their allies in the media selectively leak classified information, twisting intelligence reports to fit their anti-Trump narrative. These leaks don’t just damage the president politically—they endanger the brave men and women on the frontline working to protect America.
Tulsi Gabbard herself pointed out this dangerous trend, accusing the media of intentionally distorting intelligence reports. In her own words, “The propaganda media has deployed their usual tactic: selectively release portions of illegally leaked classified intelligence assessments (intentionally leaving out the fact that the assessment was written with ‘low confidence’) to try to undermine President Trump’s decisive leadership.”
President Trump, for his part, has been unequivocal in his response. Addressing the Iranian nuclear strikes directly, he stated on Truth Social, “Monumental Damage was done to all Nuclear sites in Iran, as shown by satellite images. Obliteration is an accurate term! The white structure shown is deeply embedded into the rock, with even its roof well below ground level, and completely shielded from flame. The biggest damage took place far below ground level. Bullseye!!!”
This isn’t about political gamesmanship; it’s about ensuring America’s safety and security. Tulsi Gabbard’s shifting positions and Democrats’ reckless politicization of intelligence only muddy the waters. President Trump acted decisively to neutralize a threat and protect American lives. The administration has every right—and responsibility—to ensure intelligence is handled with utmost care, away from partisan manipulation.
It’s time Democrats put aside their political vendettas and join President Trump in putting America first. The safety of our nation depends on it.
